Celebrating 150 Years of Donald Primary School
1 min read

On November 15 and 16 Donald Primary School will be a hive of activity as it celebrates this momentous 150th year milestone.

The reunion will feature a variety of activities designed to spark nostalgia and foster reconnections.

On Friday the 15th, at 1:45 p.m., our visitors are welcome to witness DPS’s current students participate in cherished schoolyard activities from times gone by.

At 3 p.m. there will be a few formalities before the ringing of the time-honoured DPS bell. From 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., visitors can enjoy a tea or coffee in the kitchen or stroll around the buildings and grounds where they can gain information about their histories via QR coding.

From 6:15 p.m. an evening in the Big Shed will have various presentations from different eras. There will be grazing tables and drinks available at bar prices. There will be a $10 surcharge and amazing 2025 DPS calendars will be available for purchase.

For those that can’t make it on the Friday, the school is opening up again on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 12 noon.

Donald Primary School has been much more than a place of learning. It is a community within a community, providing a supportive environment for students to explore, grow, and dream.

A warm welcome awaits anyone who has been connected to this school to come and celebrate its recognition of the past and appreciation of the present.
