It’s that time of year again when Charlton gets all jazzed up for the annual Charlton Arts Jazz in July.
The featured band this year is The Martini Set who, with “vintage styling, smooth vocals, boogie woogie rhythms and a strong back beat”, will certainly get toes tapping with music ranging from Swing to Jazz to early Rock and Roll, and everything in-between.
Charlton looks forward to welcoming Steven Howard on vocals and guitar, Denis Toner on double bass, Terry Carrick on drums and Tim Nelson on piano to Charlton for the first time.
The fun kicks off at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 21, at the Charlton Park Community Complex. Tickets are $25 and include afternoon tea. And because having fun is thirsty work, the bar will be open too.
Buy tickets online at https://events.humanitix.com/jazz-in-july-2024 or pop into the Charlton Neighbourhood House. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
