At 9.20 Thursday morning, no water had reached the Swanwater North Road, but at 3 p.m. this is the amount of water in the Round Lake, near Cope Cope. Water is now flowing further down the local lake system, into the Grassy Lake. This photographic record of the water flow was provided by Swanwater farmers, Denise and Lawrence Goldsbury, who reported receiving 31 millimetres of rain from last week’s event. Their long time neighbour, Norm Bales, whose farm is 4 kilometres east of the Goldsburys, received 41 millimetres. Now retired and living in St. Arnaud, Norm measured 100 millimetres of rain, the first time he has measured 100 mm of rain in one day.
