The game started with great pace. Sea Lake-Nandaly got the first centre clearance and goaled within the first 30 seconds of play. Nullawil quickly responded, getting the second clearance and Charlie Fawcett goaled within the next minute. Scoring slowed down after that time but the intensity of the game didn’t. Joel Donnan was repelling a lot of Nullawil’s attacks and at the first break the score was close; 2.4 to 2.2.
