They are here! Once again Big Red the Mallee Bull, graces the cover of Birchip’s Community Calendar, ready to be sent on his annual travels in time for Christmas and the New Year.
Lots of aspects of Birchip and surrounds showcasing the activities and scenery with some old and new landmarks including the water tower, former drive-in theatre, silos, train, foggy morning, big skies, lake and more.
There has been another good response from photographers, for which the organisers are very grateful. The calendar shows why our area is still the best place to live and raise families, while it captures many memories for those who once lived here.
The calendar has a back page stacked with details of all meeting dates and times, school year dates, sporting highlights and swimming lessons, NCFL draw, public holidays, and the bin collection days are marked with coloured dots. Emergency services and their contact numbers have their own feature box. The calendar is a “must” for every club arranging dates.
Special thanks to Kristy Dean and the ladies from Mallee Branded who have produced a beautiful memento that will be useful all year, or make a lovely Christmas gift. It can be a handy prize, a welcome to town or farewell for employees, or gift for a teacher or friend.
Over 70 sponsors are featured throughout the pages and this year the calendar welcomes new businesses Olive Joy Licensed Café, Daniel James Services, Mallee Dust Mechanics, Southern Mallee Counselling and Grain Flow. Sharee Dobson has spent many hours connecting and collecting sponsorship from every business she can, so they are able to be contacted easily for you.
The price remains at $20.00 with postage including a secure bag for $13.00 in Australia. Express post and overseas costs more. Calendars need to be posted by December 18.
